FAQs
What is QHD resolution and how does it compare to 1080p?
QHD (Quad High Definition) is 2560 x 1440, offering 77% more pixels than 1080p (1920 x 1080). This provides sharper text, finer detail in images and games, and more screen real estate for multitasking without increased eye strain on a 27-inch display.
Is 100Hz refresh rate enough for gaming?
Yes, 100Hz is suitable for most gaming genres including esports titles, RPGs, and strategy games. Competitive shooters may benefit from higher refresh rates, but 100Hz delivers noticeably smoother motion than standard 60Hz monitors and is ideal for mixed gaming and work use.
What is FreeSync and how does it improve gaming?
FreeSync synchronises the monitor's refresh rate with compatible AMD graphics cards, eliminating screen tearing and stuttering. This results in smoother gameplay even when frame rates fluctuate, improving visual quality without requiring a more expensive graphics card.
Can I use this monitor with a laptop via USB Type-C?
Yes, the USB Type-C port with DisplayPort support can deliver both video and power to compatible laptops, reducing cable clutter. This makes it ideal for docking scenarios where you want a single cable connection for display, data, and charging.
Is the stand fully adjustable for standing desks?
Yes, the ViewFinity S60UD features height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot capabilities, allowing you to position it for optimal viewing comfort in both seated and standing work configurations. It also supports VESA 100 x 100 mounting for alternative stand solutions.
What warranty does this monitor include?
The ViewFinity S60UD comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, providing peace of mind for your investment.
Is IPS panel technology better than VA for gaming?
IPS panels offer superior colour accuracy and wider viewing angles compared to VA panels, making them excellent for content creation and colour-critical work. For gaming, IPS provides good performance with 5ms response time and vibrant colours, though TN panels may offer slightly faster response times.
