Does the Simplecom DA451 work with macOS?
Yes, the DA451 works with macOS, but with limitations. macOS does not support MST (Multi Stream Transport) technology and will only support one extended screen. All other ports (HDMI, VGA, USB-A, and Power Delivery) function normally.
Will my device work with this adapter?
Your device must have a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode). Some USB-C ports only support charging or data transfer without video output capability. Check your device specifications before purchasing.
Can I connect three displays at once?
Yes, on Windows 8 and above using MST technology, you can connect up to 3 displays simultaneously. On macOS, only one extended screen is supported. Note that resolution will be limited to 1080p when two HDMI monitors are connected.
What is the maximum power delivery output?
